ok, spammers will go for page rank but if you don't let them then they go for humans.

Todays comment spam usually is a manual process and looking up wether your victim has comments in robots.txt takes as much time as spamming w/o prior investigation (and spam robots will not care at all).

Thus I don't think there will be much less comment spam if you exclude comments from SE indexing.

Just converting all links to plain text will also prevent a higher page rank but leave valuable comments for the SE.

schau an, ich tippe mal das war der dirk. du kannst das spammen aber wirklich nicht sein lassen. und dann noch auf andere seiten linken. wie waere es mal mit nem auftritt unter realname?

Geht das schon wieder los;-( Bei mir war neulich auch einer da, der meinte er müsste ein paar Links liegenlassen. Hab den Mist sofort gelöscht.

Zum Thema. Ich würde die URLs durch ein Redirect-Script schleifen, dann wird auch kein PR vererbt.

Solange es blogs gibt, die Kommentare erlauben (was gut und wichtig ist!) wird es leider meiner Meinung nach auch Spammer geben..
Und wie gesagt, ohne pr gibt es immer noch user die vielleicht klicken.
Ich denke die beste Lösung ist genaues Content Scanning, oder einfach alle Linktag möglichkeiten in kommentaren rauszuhauen..

My blog just got hit with spam as well.

I did notice that all of the sapm originated from a single IP, so I went ahead and banned it.

I also disallowed HTML in comments. This isn't something that I wanted to do, but I'm not going to let someone turn my blog into a virtual graffiti board.

Jo langsam wird das echt zur Epedemie. Jetzt haben die auch schon in meinem Blog damit angefangen. Und zwar genau bei dem Artikel über deinen Comment-Spam.

Habs zwar gleich gelöscht, aber das nervt schon.

Es gibt php, java-script und inline-frames mit denen man PR Vererbung verhindern kann. Das ist eine Zeile Code im Template. Wo liegt da das Problem ?

Hmm, scheint nicht viel zu bringen, mein Script setzt Sessios für die Comments ein aber die versuchen es trotzdem.

Naja muss man halt immer wieder mal löschen :)

Wenn die pr vererbung nichts mehr bringt gehen die Spammer auf besucherjagd oder auf junktraffic..
Die werdens niemals sein lassen, das ist leider so..
Das einzige was man machen kann ist oft reinsehen&löschen der spam comments.
Leider gehts net anders.

der kommt vom selben typen wie der vorherige, und da ich nicht fuer viagra werbung machen moechte und verhindern will dass das spamming hier ueberhand gewinnt habe ich die IP 217.26.240.61 erst mal in die IP Bann-Liste geschmissen.

I believe validating the comments via email confirmation might work to certain extent as a lot of comment spams are from automated bots. So, that should eliminate a portion of it. Another way I could think is having the comments all grouped together in another javascript file in a separate window from the article.

I was just wanted to ask if you had a very Merry Christmas / Holiday, and to wish you the very best for the New Year.

BTW, In saw something on another blog site I think it is a good idea to let as many people / bloggers know about. I was just organizing my vacation for later this year and stumbled across the above web site about Bali, where I was considering going. But just read what it says there and especially between the lines; unreal. A travel agent there Bali Discovery Tours of Sanur went to their friend the police chief and made trouble for someone visiting the island who had caught this travel agent offering unauthorized room rates on the Internet for the Hotel Santika Beach in Kuta, which is where I was going to stay, but thank God I am not now (I am not even going to Bali becuase of this) - seems to me like the hotel did not exactly help!

The poor guy was detained by the police for 4 days and had his passport illegally seized. He was not released until the British Embassy filed a formal complaint. Of course, there were no charges!! This is absolutely terrible. Please, please, please, join me in saying "Stuff Bali - I'm going somewhere where they treat people like guests, not enemies".
